Seine river cruise

A historic boutique hotel in the bohemian Latin Quarter on Paris’ artistic Left Bank – includes breakfast

Set amid the cheerful cafes, bakeries and bookshops that line the streets of the Latin Quarter, Hotel Eugenie is the perfect base to explore the City of Lights. With just 23 rooms and a home-away-from-home vibe, this laid-back boudoir has played host to many famous names over the years, including Oscar Wilde himself. Despite the central location, you’ll be sure to get a good night’s sleep, thanks to the soundproofing, and you’ll wake up to a typically Parisian breakfast, either in the bright breakfast room or in your plush bed.

To top things off, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner is an ideal base. Days can be spent marveling at world-class art collections, exploring Gothic churches, wandering through creepy catacombs or simply soaking up that Parisian joie de vivre from a stool in one of the pavement wine bars. To discover Paris from a different perspective, embark on a leisurely cruise down the Seine, the dramatic river that dissects the French capital, which offers plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

Good to know

Please note that a city tax of €1.65 per person, per night, is payable directly to the hotel.

Due to flooding, the river cruise is only included for stays after February 5.

We like

Hotel Eugenie enjoys a superb location in the vibrant Latin Quarter, the city’s bohemian 6th arrondissement, perched on the edge of the Left Bank. One of the oldest districts in Paris, having once attracted the likes of Camus, Sartre and Beckett, this historic neighborhood is still a creative hub today, with Art Deco cafés and secondhand bookstores sharing the streets with buzzing bars. Must-sees in this maze of cobbled streets include the Panthéon, the burial site of such French revolutionaries as Voltaire and Rousseau and the Musée de Cluny – home to a fine collection of awe-inspiring tapestries. Further highlights in the district include the vast Luxembourg Gardens, high-end boutiques on Boulevard St-Michel and the exquisite ornate chapel of Sainte-Chappelle – just over the river.
