A stay among 550 beautiful acres of mountain, lake and open Atlantic ocean, including a suite option

At Sebasco Harbor Resort, there isn’t just one Maine attraction; every delightful amenity at this Midcoast destination is perfectly representative of its home in this scenic corner of the Northeast. The property lives its mantra of “Pure Maine” in every way, on every inch of its 550 acres, and wherever you go here – whether the lake, the mountains or the open Atlantic – you’ll be in a Pine Tree State of mind. Same goes for whatever time it is, as a regular rotation of “meal events” means it’s always blueberry-pancake or lobster-bake o’clock.

Let the state spirit move you – it’s easy to do when facilities also encompass a volleyball and tennis court, a lakeside golf course and a rec center with candlepin-bowling, ping pong and foosball. Not that countless sports are the only way to engage with that beautiful scenery. For a more restful retreat, tour the coastal wharves on The Ruth, fish the Lake Wattuh waters, make an avian friend at a visit from the local conservation group, and roast a marshmallow at the campfire – and don’t be surprised if this Maine stay quickly becomes your mainstay.

Good to know

There is no air conditioning in the Main Lodge Standard Queen room, though there is a ceiling fan.

We like

  • Soaking in the state pride that’s so evident here, across all of the resort’s 550 acres
  • Attending one of the “meal events,” like a lobster bake, beer dinner or Sunday buffet
  • Calling a scenic sweep of mountains, lake and ocean your home
  • Deciding whether you'd like to stay in a suite
